Manage Device Groups

BioStar Air lets you efficiently manage multiple devices by grouping them. Device groups allow you to apply the same setting to multiple devices at once or easily monitor the status of devices in a certain group.

Add a device group

1. Click Device Management → Device Groups in the left sidebar.

   

2. Click Add Device Group at the top right of the screen.

3. When the Add Device Group window appears, enter the group name.

   

   Click Add as a Subgroup, and then select the parent group to add the device group as a subgroup.

4. In Add Devices, select the devices to include in the group.

5. After selecting all devices, click OK.

The device group list shows the newly added group and the number of devices in that group. Click a device group to view the devices in that group.

Rename a device group

1. Click Device Management → Device Groups in the left sidebar.

2. Select the checkbox for the device group to rename.

3. Click at the top of the device group list.

4. When the Edit Device Group window appears, enter the new group name.

   

5. Click OK to save the new group name.

Deleting a device group

1. Click Device Management → Device Groups in the left sidebar.

2. Select the checkbox for the device group to delete.

3. Click at the top of the device group list.

4. When a warning message appears, click Yes.

The selected device group is deleted from the list. Its subgroups are also deleted. Deleting a group does not delete the devices.

Manage groups in the device list

From the device list, select individual devices to add them to a device group or remove them from an existing group.

1. Click Device Management → Registered Devices in the left sidebar.

2. Select the checkbox for the device to add to or remove from a group.

3. Click at the top of the device group list.

4. When the Manage Device Groups window appears, add or remove the selected devices from the group.

   

   Device Groups checkboxes have the following meanings:

   • None: Removes the selected devices from the group.

   • Some: Certain selected devices are currently in the group.

   • All: Adds the selected devices to the group.

5. Click OK to save the changes.

• Selecting another group in the Manage Device Groups window moves the selected devices to that group.

• A device can belong to multiple groups. A single device can be assigned to multiple groups.

• Click Reset to initialize the changes.
